Registrations to in-class training activities must be made more than 7 days prior to the date of the session. Otherwise, the corporation holding the Corporate passport must pay the difference between the regular price and the à la carte special price for each registration or session modification made within 7 days of the date of the session:

a) $100 or 250 PDC for training activities of one day or less; or
b) $100 or 250 PDC per day of training for activities of more than one day.

  • No refund of PDC is granted for a cancellation or session modification (without exception, even due to bad weather or illness, provided the Order holds the session as scheduled) made in the 7 days preceding the session or on the day of the session. However, Multi-CPA and Multi-users passport holders have the option to transfer a training activity at all times to another person, as well as the material associated with the registration. The price difference will be charged in the case of a registration transfer from a CPA to a non-CPA.
  • No refund of PDC is granted for a cancellation and no session modification is permitted once the material has been sent or made available to participants.
  • An in-class activity session which a participant failed to attend cannot be replaced by another session (without exception, even due to bad weather or illness, provided the Order holds the session as scheduled) and the corporation holding the Corporate passport cannot recover the PDC associated to this activity.
  • An in-class training activity of more than one day is not divisible, that is to say, the days cannot be separated over different sessions. In addition, no cancellation or refund of credits is granted to the corporation holding the Corporate passport when a participant does not attend one or more days of training activity to which he is registered.

Day of the session


  • A participant who registers to a training activity held by the Order more than 7 days before the date of the session can choose the version of the course material, i.e. paper or electronic. A participant who registers to a training activity in the 7 days preceding the date of the session automatically receives the electronic version.  
  • The participant who chooses the electronic version of the material may access it through his member/client file on the Order’s website as early as 7 days before the session until the last day of the current professional development season (August 31). No electronic version of the material is provided onsite on the morning of the training activity.
  • The participant who chooses the paper version of the materiel must attend the training activity in order to receive the material. No material is provided for a participant who fails to attend the training activity for which he was registered.

Participant

To be admitted to a session for which he is registered, the participant must present valid photo identification.

Meal

The meal, if applicable, is included in the price (training activities of less than one day do not include meals). The non-deductible portion for a meal is equivalent to $17 per activity.

  • The participant is entitled to a maximum of 4 attempts to successfully complete the knowledge assessment form.

Transfer of a registration

A registration to an e-learning activity made using the PDC of the CPA passport is not transferable to another person.

Substitution

A live e-learning activity (webinar) which the participant did not attend cannot be replaced by another.

Course material

The course material will be available in the participant’s member/client file until the last day of the current season (August 31).

Conversion to à la carte training activities

It is possible during the season to convert registrations made using a passport to à la carte training activities. Charges may apply.
