Quebec budget – Good governance and transparency at the heart of our recommendations
To guide the Minister of Finance in his reflection on the upcoming budget, the Order issued eight recommendations dealing with a host of issues, including revised objectives for the Generations Fund, the creation of a parliamentary budget officer position, the preparation of long-term economic and fiscal projections, the review of consolidated financial statements in parliamentary committee and access to the financial statements of public and parapublic agencies. The passing of a pioneer of the profession, Stephan Robitaille, FCPA, FCGA (1963-2020)
We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Stephan Robitaille, the very first chair in the history of the Quebec CPA Order at the time of its inception in May 2012. Our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
