It is high time that Quebec CPAs and other professionals be authorized to report both the abusive behaviour of an incapacitated person’s legal representative and a client’s suspected incapacity to a family member or the Public Curator. We can make a real contribution in combatting the financial abuse of vulnerable persons, a major problem representing 70% of reported cases of abuse.
