Use a password that is long (at least 8 characters) and complex (with uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters).
Never use dates, personal information or words from the dictionary.
Preferably create a password using only the first letter of each word in a phrase and inserting numbers and symbols throughout.
Never use the same password for more than one system or website.
Change your password regularly (every 3 months, or if you suspect it has been compromised), and don’t reuse it for 2 years.
In keeping with good IT security practices, the Order will soon be implementing new password-setting standards for the secure portion of its website. Starting on December 11, all users whose passwords do not meet these standards will be asked to change them once logged into their files.
