Dear Colleague,
Rapidly evolving events compel me to write to you following Premier Legault’s announcements yesterday regarding the maintenance of essential services only.

In times of economic crisis and uncertainty, businesses and citizens must continue to have access to a CPA, and that is why “accounting services” have been included in the definition of essential services.
In response, however, to our members’ many questions, we have asked government authorities to specify the nature of the services included in “accounting services.” Please know that we will pass on to you any clarification we receive as soon as possible.
Until then, please keep in mind that businesses may engage in telework and online commerce at all times. Be sure to prioritize these resources in this time of crisis to limit person-to-person interaction and protect your health as well as that of your employees and clients.
Thank you for your essential contribution to community efforts to curb the health crisis. Please be assured of the Order’s support in this challenging period for all.
Best regards,
Geneviève Mottard, CPA, CA
President and Chief Executive Officer
