Government measures and deadline extensions
The past few weeks have seen multiple announcements about COVID-19, and it’s hard to keep up. To make things easier, the Order has compiled a full list of economic support measures and deadline extensions announced by the governments of Quebec and Canada and public sector bodies. The list, available on the Order’s website, is updated daily. Stay up to date by tracking all the new developments indicated by **asterisks**.
The latest additions to the list include relief measures announced by the Ministère de la Famille, Retraite Québec and the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation. Note also that a new question and answer has been added at the end of the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) FAQ page on the Government of Canada’s website regarding dividend income that could count towards the $5,000 income requirement to be eligible for CERB. The federal government also introduced changes to the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS). The details will be announced shortly.
