ASPE – Effective date deferral
The COVID-19 pandemic situation has led the AcSB to defer by one year the effective date of the amendments made to the ASPE. These amendments were supposed to apply for years beginning on or after January 1, 2020 (including changes relating to retractable and redeemable shares) and on or after January 1, 2021. Consult the “Accounting Standards Board” section in the summary of measures for further details.

CRA information session and free CPA Canada webinars
The CRA will be answering your questions about the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) live on May 11 at 2 p.m. (in English) and on May 12 at 2 p.m. (in French). The ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques now requires that a specified auditing procedures engagement be performed and that the new report be attached to all requests for disbursement in order for such requests to be admissible.
