Scholarships and awards

Bourses Fondation

This year, the Foundation will support more than 200 students from across Quebec by offering $450,000 in scholarships, awards and grants. Through its nine scholarship programs, the Foundation encourages social involvement, recognizes excellence in future CPAs, supports CPAs at the doctoral level and promotes research in the areas of expertise of the CPA profession, while still giving due consideration to the priorities of financial assistance and academic persistence.

Committed future CPAs

Undergraduate scholarships (students registered in one of the recognized bachelor's degree programs or the equivalent)

This scholarship program is intended for students who are registered in one of the universities offering the bachelor’s degree program recognized by the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, AND who have completed at least 30 university credits in this program* while maintaining a grade point average of 2.8/4.3 or higher.

Students must also be involved as volunteers in social and extracurricular activities during their recognized bachelor's degree program to be eligible for this scholarship program.

* Students who are following the course equivalence process are invited to read the call for applications to find out if they are eligible for this scholarship program.

"Outstanding commitment" scholarships (candidates registered with the Order)

This scholarship program is intended for candidates for the CPA profession registered with the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec who, alone or as a team, stand out during the year for their social or community involvement, or show initiative and commitment here or abroad.

Candidates for the CPA profession who are in the startup phase of a community or humanitarian project and need a little financial support to launch the project are also eligible.

Financial aid and academic persistence

Support for academic persistence (partnerships with external organizations)

That is why the Foundation signed partnership agreements with Educaide and the Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ.

For this component, the Foundation has decided to give to projects by registered non-profit organizations that strive to keep Quebec students in school.

Admission Scholarships towards a recognized bachelor’s degree (CEGEP students or applicants who are going back to school)

This scholarship program is intended for students who are in the process of registering for one of the bachelor's degrees recognized by the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec starting in the fall of 2024 AND need financial aid to help them cover the costs involved for their first term of university or show exceptional persistence in their studies.

After submitting their application file, students must plan to apply for one of the bachelor’s degrees programs recognized by the Order starting in the fall of 2024 to be eligible for this scholarship program.

Assistance towards success scholarships (students who have begun the course equivalence process, students who are registered in one of the recognized bachelor's degree programs or in the process of registering for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)

This scholarship program is intended for students who need financial aid to help them cover all costs involved in continuing their studies toward the CPA designation.

Students must be registered or in the process of registering for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP), be registered in one of the recognized bachelor's degree programs in or must have begun the course equivalence process to be eligible for this scholarship program.

Excellence

Awards of CFE (candidates for the Canadian Honour Roll)

This scholarship program is intended for candidates in the CPA profession, registered with the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and who are ranked on the Canadian Honour Roll at the Common Final Examination.

Next generation of professors AND SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH

Ph.D. scholarships (CPAs pursuing Ph.D. studies)

This program is intended for CPAs who are members in good standing of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and are pursuing doctoral studies in the CPA profession’s area of expertise when they submit their application file.

Research and innovation support (CPAs, groups of people and organizations)

This grant program is intended for anyone who is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (see the details in the call for projects), groups of people or organizations that would like to apply for a grant for a current or future project on the theme specified in the call for projects. The project must be carried out in Quebec. In all cases, at least one Quebec CPA must participate in the research project.
