Moisson Montréal is a non-profit organization that gathers food donations and basic products all year long and distributes them free of charge to community organizations on the Island of Montreal. This food bank distributes the most food items in Canada.

Program
12 p.m. – Arrival at Moisson Montréal
12:30 p.m. – Orientation session with a video
12:45 p.m. – Volunteering*
3:15 p.m. – Review of the day
3:30 p.m. – End of the activity
*Examples: sorting items from supermarkets, labelling cans, sorting fresh fruits and vegetables, sorting bakery products, bagging small frozen vegetables, etc. Your assigned task will be announced to your team before you enter the warehouse. The person in charge of volunteers will be on site to explain and guide your work.
Important notes:
To perform the tasks involved, you need to be able to:
- work standing;
- lift boxes that weigh up to a few kilograms at some work stations;
- work at a temperature varying between 4°C and 18°C;
- handle various food products.
Dress code and related information:
- Long pants, long sleeve shirt, steel-toed boots or shoes (toe caps can be loaned by Moisson Montreal if required).
- Gloves and disposable aprons (provided by Moisson Montreal).
- A secure locker room is available for your personal effects.
- Do not wear jewelry in the warehouse for hygiene and safety purposes.
