Elections oversight committee

Role

The Elections oversight committee is an advisory committee whose terms of reference are to assist the Board of directors with issues that arise in the electoral process and report to the board on the conduct of elections, when so required.

Responsibilities

The committee is entrusted with the following responsibilities:

  • Answer questions from the secretary on the electoral process, including those concerning the eligibility criteria for the director position or the validity of a vote in case of irregularities;
  • Report on the conduct of elections, upon the board’s request, and make recommendations as needed, including with respect to e-voting.
