Putting CPA values to practice for Syrian refugees

Commitment and open-mindedness are 2 of the values that characterize our profession. The arrival of Syrian refugees in Quebec gives us a tremendous opportunity to put those values into practice and make a difference.

CPAs can show their generosity in many ways, from donating time or money to integration agencies, to supporting the many citizen refugee assistance initiatives or volunteering to coach refugees with an entrepreneurial spirit. Another critical way to make an impact is for CPA employers to provide access to the job market to Syrian newcomers, who only want an opportunity to contribute and apply their skills to their new society. It’s time to put our values into action!
