applause of their peers and families.

Soirée des Fellows: Head for the Old Port
of Montreal
On May 12, 2018, the Order will honour 18 CPAs inducted
into the ranks of Fellow, the recipient of the prestigious
Outstanding Achievement Award, René Dallaire,
and the recipient of the QIC Award of Merit,
Alain Dugal. Join us at this premier
event of the profession.

The passing of a pioneer of the profession
The Order was deeply saddened to learn of the passing
of Suzanne Coallier, O.C., FCPA,
FCA. The first French-speaking woman to obtain the
professional accountant designation in Canada and
the title of Fellow in Quebec, this amazing person
paved the way for all the women who followed her
lead.

Recent appointments
- Nicolas Marcoux, FCPA,
FCA, will take the helm of PwC Canada as CEO
on July 1, 2018.
- Dominique Derome, FCPA,
FCMA, was appointed as a member of the Office
des professions du Québec.

Patricia Gauthier, FCPA, FCGA,
was re-appointed as a member of the board of
directors and president and CEO of the Centre
intégré universitaire de santé et de services
sociaux de l’Estrie – Centre hospitalier universitaire
de Sherbrooke.

Benoit Morin, CPA, CMA, was
re-appointed as a member of the board of directors
and president and CEO of the Montréal West Island
Integrated University Health and Social Services
Centre.
