Practical experience outside Quebec

A period of practical experience can take place outside Quebec provided it meets the CPA competency requirements.

The period of practical experience must meet the following two conditions:

• Meet the Order’s requirements and enable the candidate to develop the CPA competencies.
• Take place under the supervision of a CPA mentor.

Before the period of practical experience can begin (even in the case of a pre-approved program), the candidate and the employer must confirm with the Order that it is a qualifying position.
