Do you need a business number for your company? Or are you a representative who regularly completes multiple business registrations at once? You can now use the Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) upgraded Business Registration Online service. Beware: Fraudulent Communications Purportedly from CRA
With tax season in full swing, some savvy fraudsters are taking advantage of the timing and are representing themselves as the CRA to members of the public, even identifying a toll free number to call. It is important to remember and remind your clients that the CRA does not request personal information via email, and will only send payments by direct deposit or cheque. The Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Occupation du territoire (MAMOT), in association with the Centre d’expertise et de recherche en infrastructures urbaines (CERIU), issued the Guide de gestion des actifs en immobilisations à l’intention des gestionnaires municipaux.
