The Ordre des CPA du Québec welcomes WorldCom whistleblower
For its second Prestige Conference, the Ordre des CPA du Québec welcomed Cynthia Cooper, CEO of the CooperGroup. Named one of Time Magazine’s Persons of the Year in 2002, Ms. Cooper is best known for blowing the whistle on WorldCom’s fraud schemes and exposing one of the largest financial scandals in history.

The Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA-Canada) has joined today CPA Canada, completing the integration of the country’s national accounting bodies. CPA Canada was established last year by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) and The Society of Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada).
