The first CPA Student Congress a resounding success
Close to 200 students from 14 Quebec universities met in Montreal on March 8, 9 and 10, 2013 at the first-ever CPA Student Congress. Organized by McGill University students in collaboration with the Order, and presented by DECIMAL and CN, the Congress offered participants a wide variety of educational conferences and activities related to accounting.

Brief prepared by the Order on Bill 17
Last week, the Order presented a substantive French brief on Bill 17, An Act to amend the Professional Code with respect to disciplinary justice, to the Committee on Institutions. Since protecting the public is one of its main areas of strategic focus, the Order applauds the government’s commitment to optimize the mechanisms in place to ensure that the public and professionals are better served and obtain justice within a reasonable timeframe.
