If you have been approached by a friend or family member to carry out work related to the practice of the profession, or if you practice as a sole practitioner and want to hire a CPA who is not currently in public practice or do business with a contract worker, either way, you may be subject to the Regulation respecting refresher training periods and courses.

CPA Newsletter • The Order’s head office relocates
As of August 26, the Order’s head office (393 St-Jacques Street) will be temporarily relocated to 4 Place Ville Marie. The staff of the Executive Office, Legal Affairs, as well as Public Affairs and Communications will therefore not be reachable on Friday, August 23, the day of the move. They will gradually return on Monday, August 26.

CPA Newsletter • Practice of public accountancy and issue of audit and review reports: permit mandatory for all CPAs
Since May 16, 2013, all CPAs who wish to practice public accountancy and issue audit and review reports must hold a public accountancy permit. Note that CPA, CGAs and CPA, CMAs had until May 15, 2013 to apply for recognition of their acquired rights and obtain a limited public accountancy permit.
