Being a CPA means being a member of a professional order. While the status of professional gives you rights, it also imposes certain obligations aimed at protecting the public.
Complying with these obligations is very important—your designation depends on it!
Annual mandatory declaration and annual dues
To be entered on the roll of the Order, you must fill out your annual declaration and pay your dues each year by March 15.
You are also required to keep your professional and personal contact information up to date throughout the year by accessing your file.
Professional liability insurance
Each year, you must submit your declaration to the administrator of the professional liability insurance plan, ACPAI Insurance, and pay the insurance premium that corresponds to your situation by March 15.
If your professional situation changes during the year, you must inform the administrator of the professional liability insurance plan, ACPAI Insurance, and pay the premium adjustment, if any, based on your new category of insureds.
