Free online access to disciplinary decisions of the Ordre des CPA du Québec: a first for the Quebec public

Montreal, October 29, 2012 – The Ordre des CPA du Québec entered into an historic agreement with the Société québécoise d’information juridique (SOQUIJ). Under this agreement, all disciplinary decisions rendered between June 1, 2001 and May 15, 2012 by the disciplinary councils of the CA, CGA and CMA orders, as well as those rendered since May 16, 2012 by the Disciplinary Council of the Ordre des CPA, can now be viewed free of charge on the jugements.qc.ca website.
The Order thus becomes the first professional order to enter into such an agreement with the SOQUIJ. According to Daniel McMahon, FCPA, FCA, the Order’s President and CEO, “This new agreement is certainly an additional tool that will allow the Ordre des CPA du Québec to fully carry out its role of protecting the public. We hope that this agreement will pave the way and prompt other professional orders to follow suit.”
