Government transfers: Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) review project

Standardization of the specific tax on alcoholic beverages – Inventory form
Since August 1, 2014, the rates of the specific tax on alcoholic beverages have been standardized and no longer vary based on where the beverages are consumed. Businesses from which the specific tax was (or should have been) collected in advance are required to file the Alcoholic Beverage Inventory form to Revenu Québec before August 29 or October 31, as applicable. Quebec voluntary disclosures: new mail addresses
In July, Revenu Québec issued a revised ADM. 4 interpretation bulletin (Volontary Disclosures) to reflect the change of name and contact information of the branch (“Direction”) responsible for voluntary disclosures. The changes came into effect immediately upon publication of the bulletin. It’s important to note, however, that the voluntary disclosure policy did not change. Read the bulletin

Form T1135: new relief
On July 8, 2014, the Canada Revenue Agency issued a revised version of form T1135, Foreign Income Verification Statement, intended for taxpayers who must report specified foreign property costing more than $100,000 for 2014 and later tax years. Learn more about this change
