The Ordre des CPA du Québec celebrates its first anniversary
The Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés (CPA) du Québec is proud and excited to celebrate its first anniversary today. Created from the unification of the three bodies that previously governed the practice of the accounting profession in Quebec, the CPA Order is now the third largest professional order in the province.

An organization called CPA Sans Frontières is born
A group of chartered professional accountants wanting to make a positive contribution to the wellness of populations in need, for the most part from outside our borders, has just set up an organization called CPA Sans Frontières. This new organization thus joins the ranks of other ‘Sans Frontières/Without Borders’ projects initiated by the international cooperation organization called Terre Sans Frontières.

The Réseau des femmes d'affaires du Québec (RFAQ) is issuing a call for nominations for the Prix Femmes d’affaires du Québec contest. Do your part to promote women of excellence by participating in this contest that has been honouring Quebec women entrepreneurs, managers and professionals since 2001. The deadline for submitting a nomination to the RFAQ is June 14, 2013.

Hermès awards gala of Université Laval’s Faculty of Business Administration
Every year, Université Laval’s Faculty of Business Administration pays tribute to alumni who have distinguished themselves in their area of expertise. Manon Gauthier, CPA, CA, will be the honorary president of this year’s gala, to be held under the theme “A Class Apart”. In addition, Pierre Lapointe, FCPA, FCA, will be among the recipients honoured on May 31.

Finalists in the JCCM ARISTA Provincial Competition announced
The Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal (JCCM) recently announced the 21 finalists for the 36th ARISTA Provincial Competition, which recognizes, encourages and promotes the achievements and excellence of young executives, professionals, self-employed workers and entrepreneurs across Quebec. The winners will be announced at a gala on May 29, 2013. Don’t miss it!

During the gala, Université Laval’s Faculty of Business Administration rewarded students, associations and professors who have distinguished themselves over the past year. The Order is proud of its contribution, as a partner, to the success of this 23rd gala!

Finalists announced for the RJCCQ Inter-Jeunes chambres 2013 competition
The RJCCQ recently announced the names of the finalists for its Concours annuel Inter-Jeunes chambres 2013, an annual competition that recognizes the commitment and exceptional character of RJCCQ-affiliated junior chambers of commerce, youth wings and their members. The winners’ names will be revealed at the Annual Gala on June 1 in Quebec City.
