New graduates honoured by the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés
On September 12, the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés held its 8th graduation ceremony. During this event, 86 students from the 2013 graduating class obtained the certified director (ASC) designation. The Order is proud to mention that 12 CPAs are among the new graduates. Congratulations to all!

Fondation de la Place des Arts’ Rentrée nocturne—a spotlight on 1963
On September 20, 2013, attend the fourth edition of Place des Arts’ Rentrée nocturne organized by the Young Patrons Committee of the Fondation de la Place des Arts. The event will be presented in three acts, highlighting the meeting of two eras—the Cultural Revolution and Tradition. The Ordre des CPA du Québec presented its views on D’Amours Report findings
When the Ordre des CPA du Québec appeared before the Committee on Public Finance, which is currently studying the recommendations set out in the D’Amours Report, it stressed the importance of getting back to the very essence of our retirement system whose aim is to provide sufficient income to sustain an adequate standard of living in retirement, in keeping with our collective ability to pay.

CPA Newsletter • The Order’s head office relocates
As of August 26, the Order’s head office (393 St-Jacques Street) will be temporarily relocated to 4 Place Ville Marie. The staff of the Executive Office, Legal Affairs, as well as Public Affairs and Communications will therefore not be reachable on Friday, August 23, the day of the move. They will gradually return on Monday, August 26.
