With tax season in full swing, some savvy fraudsters are taking advantage of the timing and are representing themselves as the CRA to members of the public, even identifying a toll free number to call. It is important to remember and remind your clients that the CRA does not request personal information via email, and will only send payments by direct deposit or cheque.
