About us

All paths to the CPA profession are unique. Behind every success is ambition, effort and sometimes obstacles that have to be overcome. To remain a relevant and committed partner for the next generation, the Foundation began a strategic thinking process in 2025-2026. This process led it to make changes to its mission, vision and values so that the Foundation better meets current and future needs.
MISSION *
Promote equal opportunity and the accessibility of the CPA profession by supporting academic persistence and success, as well as financial education through scholarships, partnerships, mentoring and various awareness programs.
* New mission adopted by the Board of directors, to be ratified by the Foundation's members on September 24, 2026.
VISION
Engage all stakeholders to contribute to the success of future CPAs and, by extension, to the development of Quebec society.
VALUES
- Commitment: investing wholeheartedly in the Foundation’s mission with integrity, neutrality and transparency.
- Agility: taking proactive action to keep up with the rapid pace of change.
- Collaboration: working together for the success of future CPAs.
- Kindness: helping the next generation advance.
- Diversity and inclusion: representing the reality of today’s society.
INCORPORATION STATUTES
The Foundation of Quebec Chartered Professional Accountants was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization (NPO) under Part III of the Quebec Companies Act on August 31, 2012. It is a charity in the meaning of the Income Tax Act.
Therefore, the Foundation is a separate legal entity from the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec. It is led by an independent board of directors from the Order’s board and is subject to different laws, regulations and obligations than those to which the Order is subject.

The Order encourages the next generation by providing support to the Foundation and organizing benefit events for it. The Order also acts as an intermediary between donors and the Foundation, mainly for the donations that its members make to the Foundation when paying their annual dues.
Furthermore, the Foundation receives administrative support from the Order and makes an annual contribution to use its offices; this amount is entered under the "administrative expenses" heading of its financial statements.
This recognition boosts my motivation
Your generous gesture shows just how much the accounting profession is a close-knit and welcoming community that invests in the success of its future members. This second scholarship makes me feel supported, encouraged and even more motivated to keep going. You perfectly embody the values of solidarity, responsibility and sharing that are the strength of our profession.
Receiving more support from the members of my future profession makes me want to give back to our community one day by supporting those who choose this same demanding path. Rest assured that I will live up to this mark of confidence.
