Committees

Do you want to serve on an Order committee and leverage your expertise to benefit the entire profession? Feel free to submit an application by completing the appropriate form (in French only). Please note that applications may be submitted at any time.

The Disciplinary council, the Council for the arbitration of accounts, the Review committee, the Regulations committee and the Indemnity fund committee are currently searching for new members.
Term

Members normally serve a three-year renewable term.

Training is provided to committee members by the Order.

Committee composition

The Order strives to ensure that its committees are the most accurate representation of the diversity within its membership in keeping with the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion. Committee composition tends to reflect the various sectors and geographical areas where CPAs work: in public practice, industry or the public sector, academia, major urban centres, regions of Quebec, etc.

The Order also encourages gender-balanced committees that reflect the ethno-cultural diversity that exists within the profession and Quebec society.

Review of applications

Depending on the committee, its composition is determined by the Board of directors, the Executive committee or the Management committee. Applications are subject to verification with the Syndic, Records and roll of the Order.

Selected candidates are notified in the weeks after their application is received.

The applications of non-selected candidates will be saved in a candidate database used to fill seats that become vacant during a term.

To calculate the expenses in connection with your participation in a committee, please fill out the online expense report. Once completed, print and return it, together with supporting documents, to the head of the committee.
