UNIVERSITY GRADUATE PROGRAM - 30 CREDITS

The CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) is made up of a series of courses focusing primarily on enhancing CPA candidates’ ability to apply the professional knowledge, values, ethics and attitudes expected of CPAs in a professional context. The PEP places great importance on the integration of competencies, as well as on the acquisition of more in-depth knowledge than that covered in the academic prerequisites.

* Currently, for students admitted to the full-time GCPA Program at the Desautels Faculty of Management the only complementary courses that will be offered during the program will be those that allow CPA’s to practice Public Accounting (Practice of Taxation and Assurance Services). Students wishing to pursue other CPA paths such as Financial Analysis or Performance Measurement (management accounting) should apply to the National program or the part-time program at the School of Continuing Studies.
** Mandatory to obtain the public accountancy permit (CPA auditor).

caveat

The general rules for admission to the PEP require a minimum grade point average of 2.8/4.3 or equivalent in the undergraduate program. However, universities may require a higher average or an overall average in the undergraduate program prerequisite courses for admission to a graduate-level PEP.

McGill requires a passing grade of 65% for each course and a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0.
