This page provides information about the practical experience for candidates enrolled in the new CPA Professional Program, offered starting in 2027.

If you are enrolled in the current CPA Professional Education Program, ending no later than 2028, please refer instead to the practical experience page for that program, as your practical experience is governed by its requirements and policies.

The practical experience is a key component of the path to obtaining the CPA designation. Designed to support the progressive development of competencies, it enables candidates to gradually achieve the level of proficiency expected of CPAs. The practical experience lasts 24 months and must be completed before taking the Professional Readiness module.
