A partner at Deloitte since 1990, Alain Côté chaired the board of directors of the former Ordre des CA du Québec from 2009 to 2010. As a member of the transition steering committee, he was also a key player in the major undertaking of unifying the three professional accounting orders. Today, Côté still works closely with the Ordre des CPA as a member of CPA Canada’s board of directors representing Quebec. He also acts as a proud ambassador of the accounting profession as a member of the board of directors, the executive committee and the finance and audit committee of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, and on the executive committee of the Mount Royal Club.
Very active in the community, Alain Côté is readily involved in a variety of organizations, such as Centraide, Éducaide, the Institute Pacifique, the Maison des greffés, la Fondation Lina Cyr and Les Petits Violons. His many achievements have contributed significantly to the visibility of the accounting profession. His rigour, expertise, integrity and ethical attitude earned him the QIC Award of Merite in 2013.
